Is a visit necessary?

A local Home Energy Advisor will visit your home and will assess how efficiently you are consuming energy.

We need to look at the structure of your home and how it performs in terms of its build, age, floor space and its heating, glazing and insulation systems.

The advisor uses state of the art software to produce a detailed report on your home, how it compares and what you can do.

Then they will discuss with you the options available for making energy-saving changes, recommending the most suitable solutions tailored for you. You will be surprised at some of the new ways to save money and reduce the carbon foot print of your home.

How long will the inspection take?

After receiving your instruction, My Carbon House Print will arrange a mutually convenient appointment for an assessment. This will typically lasts about two hours. That includes us doing our individual assessment of your home using specially developed software and the time we spend advising you.

What happens after the assessment?

After the inspection we will send you a detailed report including an Energy Performance Certificate advising you of the finding of the assessment. Detailed in our report will be recommendations of what measures you can take to improve your home’s energy performance, whether this is retro-fitting of insulation, installation of a more energy efficient boiler, devices that reduce energy consumption etc.

My Carbon House Print will then help you instruct recommended installers and help project manage any agreed works.

We will also draw up an action plan together so that you can adopt a more ‘green lifestyle’ lifestyle approach to saving energy and recycling techniques.

For twelve months after the inspection you will be able to access your Energy Advisor in any respect of energy advice.

How much does it cost?

The My Carbon House Print Service costs £199. This covers the cost of your home assessment, our expert report (which also provides you with an Energy Performance Certificate) and advice and ongoing management, making your home more energy efficient.

It gives you unlimited access to your personal Energy Advisor and to the team at My Carbon House Print for 12 months after your assessment.

Of course there will be other costs should you wish to implement any of the recommendations that may arise from the assessment.

We believe that this a small price to pay to help reduce your energy consumption and towards the fight against global warming.
